It was wonderful to experience (waves) an immersiv It was wonderful to experience (waves) an immersive choral performance by @audrawolowiec presented by @strongroom.inc

The event took place on July 18 and 20 aboard the Estuary Steward, a boat crossing the Hudson River between Newburgh and Beacon.

An ensemble of five performers performed a score composed of words and sounds from several texts, including “The Waves” by Virginia Woolf, and “Discourse of Bodies in Water” by Galileo. Chosen words were cast in ice and released into the river, to further merge language with water. Everyone received a print at the end of the performance.

On Wednesday I was in SoHo for a work meeting and On Wednesday I was in SoHo for a work meeting and came across this pile of boxes, ephemera, furnishings, and other materials in the street. The stuff was from a storage space belonging to the important feminist artist Mary Beth Edelson who passed away a few years ago. It was very upsetting to see her things treated like this. Passersby grabbed books, posters, and even artwork. I got some books and posters and some cards from one of her artworks. A junk removal truck arrived and took it all away.
Read the Artnet News article by @anniesalright for more about the incident.

I studied Mary Beth Edelson in college. Her work is in the collection of MoMA and other major museums. How could this happen?
